Frost Museum Ultimate Dinosaur AR
"The Frost Museum Ultimate Dinosaur AR" was an AR project developed for the Phillip & Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami as part of their Ultimate Dinosaurs Exhibition. The project aimed to engage visitors by using augmented reality (AR) through the process of scanning a QR code with their phones. Doing this allowed them to see fully modeled, textured, and animated dinosaurs when they pointed their cameras at certain posters within the exhibition.

How was it made?
The project needed a platform to host the app so the first thing we needed was research in which we decided to use 8th Wall.

As the project's sole programmer, I was in charge of not only implementing the three dinosaurs and their animations into 8th Wall using JavaScript, but also implementing a start menu, functioning audio, and optimizing the performance and interactivity of the AR experience.
Where is it now?
Despite its successful development, the project faced unforeseen challenges due to scheduling and budget constraints. As a result, the project could not be publicly showcased at museum, and as a result, the subscription required to maintain the project's public accessibility is no longer active.
